WHAT WE HAVE
DONE….
ü Conducted
seminars on various subjects such as entrepreneurship, career planning and
study skills.
ü Mobilized
International NGOs to dig water wells to the region where water is scarce. We
have already dug two wells and two are in progress. Digging well will help
reduce the distance which girls and women walk to fetch water hence we will
have increased their productive time, reduce problems that might be caused by
carrying heavy loads through a long distance as well as exempting them from
harms that might arise on their way to fetching water.
ü Mobilized
Fund to support educational Institutions and we got 5000 Dollars to support a
Nursery school in Dar. Women are involved in taking care of their infants at
homes so as to raise them in good manner that takes much of their productive
time. Once a reputable, reliable and a well established school takes care of
that, mother will have much time to other works including economic activities.
ü We
collaborated with another International NGO on an economic project called “Mifugo kwa maendeleo” in this project,
forty women at Vikindu were given two goats, a pair for establishment of an
economic project whereby they will herd them and once multiplied will have
economic benefits from them.
WE ARE NOW
GATHERING OUR EFFORTS TOWARDS OUR OWN ECONOMIC PROJECTS FOR SASHA’S SELF
FUNDING.
